I've gotten Armorer up to 12 so far and have been learning quite a bit with how crafting works in this game. I can definitely tell that some recipes are a lot easier than others, especially the earlier leve quests that I've done before. Finally now able to use an off-hand item (pliers), which apparently has different uses than the main hand (hammer). I've found out that there are training books for different types of crafting recipes that can really make crafting more successful. For Armorer, these are located at the guild in Limsa Lominsa. And, now this is much different than FFXI, you can take an airship between any of the three main cities without needing any sort of license, just a short easy quest. I'll have to post some pics up soon to show off some of the new locales.

Time For Some Crafting
Decided to try out crafting in this game and it's much more interactive than many other games. So far I'm at level 9 Armorer and it's been pretty quick to get there. Fairly simple as well since doing the local leve quest gives you all the materials you need and rewards you with more materials.
Before level 5 (I think) you only one leve quest is available and then four after that. Looks to be simple enough and interesting so far! I just hope to gear out my lancer enough for better leveling.

Adventuring in Eorzea and FFXIV
Hello! I've decided to jump into FFXIV and experience some of the gameplay and adventures that await Square Enix's new MMO. I intend to share some of those adventures with this blog, and hopefully create a set of guides and tutorials for the game.
I've played the beta a long while back and it had left a sour taste in my mouth for this game. Recently patch 1.21 came out and brought with it a host of new jobs, taken from the much loved classics. I've been drooling over playing a Dragoon, so I've installed the game and brought a Miqo'te Lancer up to 16. I've noticed that this game is A LOT more polished than it was in beta and it's much closer to FFXI. I had played FFXI for a number of years and find that FFXIV is very comfortable to get into, albeit with a few issues that I'll probably go over in a later post.
I'll be trying to keep this blog updated regularly, mostly to chronicle my adventures with this game and have fun!
